Why use coaching ?

Top athletes and performers all have coaches, and business is no different:  we are judged on our performance and by our results.   Coaching allows a tailored approach for each individual to maximise their performance and effectiveness in the office.   The aim is to be more effective, and not to work harder or for longer.

Not only will an individual become more effective but he/she will also:

  • Take greater ownership
  • Feel more empowered
  • Feel more motivated and “in control”

Personal recommendations

All of my work comes through personal recommendations, either from clients or HR Directors.   Here are some quotes:

Emma was a great listener and straight talking. She gave me techniques and a
toolkit which I could constantly try out and apply to a number of different situations – she is a genius!
I would have loved more sessions – but that is out of my control! Director at PR Company

I didn’t know if I was throwing away a good thing –  as an in house lawyer at a Bank in the City. Emma helped me worked out what I wanted and gave me the support I need to change career. I have never been happier or looked back. In house Lawyer at a Bank who changed careers.

Emma has helped me in my new role of managing a team. I had never “managed” people before and had some tricky individuals. I found her so helpful, that I contacted her again a few years later when I was promoted again.

Emma was fantastic, and I hugely valued the time I spent with her, the insight she gave me and the
tools she gave me which I think were invaluable. Lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer

Emma’s advice really helped me to crack the interview process. She provided  an invaluable insight into what was expected and helped me to apply this practically in the interview.  Emma had recruited lawyers in a magic circle law firm and really knew what they were looking for. This made all the difference to me.  I found her straight-forward approach demystified the recruitment jargon. . I secured a training contract shortly afterwards and am very grateful for Emma sharing her expertise. Would definitely recommend! (Law student who had been turned down for training contracts by numerous law firms. After coaching she was offered a job by two “magic circle firms”.)
Coaching has really increased my confidence in front of clients and senior colleagues.  I am now described as having presence and gravitas. Lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer

It is as if someone has opened my eyes, I am now aware of the impact I am having on others and how to alter that. Managing Partner

Emma helped me with my B&B business, she gave me confidence in my abilities and the support I needed to try different marketing methods. I was written up in the Guardian top 10 B&Bs as a result. B&B owner

After having children, I lost my confidence a bit and didn’t know where to start. Emma helped me identify what I wanted and the steps I needed to get there. She was a huge help and a very easy person to talk to.

Emma helped me with interview practice when I changed jobs. I am in my late 40s and hadn’t had an interview for years.  I will be sending my children to her!

Emma helped me in the Partnership process. I was delighted to be made up and found her help invaluable. Partner at City Law Firm

‘Emma’s senior roles in the City and the fact she is a mum who has successfully returned to work mean she is able to bring a commercial and practical perspective, impressive theoretical framework and some straight talking to her coaching sessions.  Not only has Emma provided coaching to senior people in our organisation where we’ve been keen for them to achieve some specific objectives, but I’ve recommended her countless times to contacts and friends needing to improve their confidence or make meaningful changes in their working lives.  Time after time her ‘coachees’ provide glowing feedback on how she has helped them see the light in tough times, get promoted or improve their relationships with key stakeholders.’
